/ MY STORY

I have been decorating cakes professionally and as a hobby for over a decade. I have worked in resorts, hotels, restaurants, and bakeries all over and am proud to say I served in the United States Army as an active duty soldier. Upon leaving the army I knew I wanted to pursue an education that involved the food industry and earned my bachelors and masters degree in hospitality and tourism management. I have been ServSafe Certified to handle food for 15 years! Needless to say, I am very passionate about the food industry. When my daughter told me she hoped to also become a baker as a career choice I knew I wanted to start something she might be able to take over someday. I am so excited to finally bring these dreams to reality and cannot wait to share my passion with everyone!

What makes my bakery different?

It has taken me a long time to gain the confidence to open this bakery. I kept telling myself, "Why would people want to come to me for baked goods when they can get them at grocery stores and existing bakeries for dirt cheap?" After having many friends and family approach me because of their dissatisfaction with other local options, I decided that people are looking for quality over price and that I would love to provide that for people who appreciate quality baked goods.

I also wanted to do something unique and not really found around here, and as a donut fanatic I couldn't help but include donuts. I also wanted to be able to offer a more allergen friendly option for people with peanut and tree nut allergies so I have researched and found main ingredients that are made in a peanut and tree nut free facility such as my: cocoa powder, flour, eggs, milk, butter, and sugar so I can make allergen friendly items.

We also strive to buy and use local ingredients and products, and unless absolutely necessary-looking at you Oreos-only buy local and made in the USA.
